Save The Green Planet

February on Filmalot

31 January 2026

February 2026 will be the busiest month in Filmalot history with 25 screenings tracked so far. Just under one film a day! As usual there are a huge variety of films to be seen outside the typical box office circuit. This is a month to get particularly excited about, with 12 different clubs hosting screenings and 3 new venues we haven't seen before on the site. To see all events check out the screenings page or keep reading on for our special picks.

Rambling Cinema is bringing Oscar lore to Nottingham with Save the Green Planet at Carousel. Bugonia — Oscar nominee for best picture — is based on this 2003 South Korean black comedy.

Kino Klubb hosts a 4K restoration of Sorcerer at Broadway. A rare opportunity to experience such a high regarded film and soundtrack at the cinema. This one is likely to sell out so check the ticket link as soon as possible!

Another rare opportunity to see an iconic film on the big screen this time at Savoy Cinema Nottingham. The Loft Movie Theatre host Saturday Night Fever later in the month! Side note: these three Nottingham film clubs have 48 events between them and that's just the ones we have tracked. It is incredible we have so many enthusiasts eager to showcase amazing selections to the wider community. So huge shout out to them!

For those that love a movie marathon and middle earth Derby Quad will be displaying the extended LOTR trilogy on Valentine's day.

Once again we are so grateful for all the clubs and venues doing these events. Our aim is to source events from the nooks and crannies of social media algorithms and ticket websites so you don't miss a chance to see films like the ones listed above. We'd love to hear from you on Instagram if you are excited about any particular event or if you know of one we've missed! Find us there @filmalot_.
