This week we're spreading the love beyond Nottingham and including our Leicester neighbours in the weekly highlight. If you can be tempted by a weekend trip to the pictures (only 20 minutes by train), we've picked two films showcasing at Phoenix, an independent cinema and art centre located in Leicester city centre.
Firstly on Wednesday in Nottingham, local legend foreign film buff Rambling Cinema will be closing out 2025 with Japanese noir horror Cure at The Carousel.
Then on Thursday, Dead Duck Film Club return to Savoy Cinema Nottingham with Let The Right One In after their french flavoured 2025 festival.
At Phoenix this Friday, UK Asian Film Festival are presenting Deewaar on it's 50th Anniversary. And the following day, again at Phoenix, Christmas season kicks off with Sean Baker's Tangerine, hosted by Screen Queens.
Be sure to check out the full listings on Filmalot as this is not a complete list! The rest of December is packed with all kinds of film screenings around the Midlands and already January is starting to fill up too. We also post these highlights on Instagram so give a follow over there @filmalot_ if you aren't already.
